Lessons Learnt from Infant Serious Case Reviews
This brand new webinar looks at recent infant case reviews (birth to two year olds). Looking at lessons that can be learnt from the NSPCC (2023) briefing and how these lessons can be applied to safeguard children in early years settings. And what lessons and recommendations we have to implement into our own practice.
The NSPCC briefing 2023 suggested that:
“The learning from these reviews highlights that practitioners may need training and support to:
identify and understand lived experience of very young children
understand how parents’ behaviour can affect a baby in the long term
be confident in challenging parents if necessary. “
Through practical discussions, reflecting on case reviews and interactive training we aim to address the learning needed highlighted in the review.
