This training session will allow you to explore ways to develop the role of the key person within your setting. Delivered by a consultant with extensive experience of managing pre-schools and nurseries it will touch on the importance of the role of key person in the early years.

Children need a warm nurturing environment where they can thrive, learn, be loved and achieve. It is a statutory requirement that all children within early years settings have an allocated key person who is responsible for building an attachment with them, to promote their well-being, learning and development and offer support to their families. Put it quite simply the role of the key person is one of the most important roles within an early year’s settings.

This is why we have developed a training course that allows you to invest, nurture and recognise the importance practitioners have within their role as a key person. This session explores the importance of this vital role within your setting. It also looks at what the role means to your setting specifically.
